I finally did my first abstract, and I'm excited to try another; actually have mini sketches for two.

Color has exploded in many directions. That is all good, I think! Appreciate your "words of wisdom."AnfinsenArts Alivehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07361234735661011962noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7428587441890663773.post-86043766928995506142012-03-25T05:49:02.168-07:002012-03-25T05:49:02.168-07:00If my personal experience is of any use, I have to...If my personal experience is of any use, I have to say that even at my advanced age LOL of 65, I have recently gotten into abstract art. My early and middle years of art appreciation have always centered around the Impressionist artists and paintings. I read recently in a home design magazine that if you want to update your traditional furnishings, add some colorful abstract paintings. But even before that I had decided to keep an open mind and expose myself to the more outrageous art in museums. That way I found I was attracted to some of it. The journey was fascinating. I'm dying for the Miro exhibition to come to the National Gallary in Washington DC.

Hope this helps.Laurennoreply@blogger.com
